Three men sentenced in fatal home invasion
THREE men have been sentenced for their roles in a violent home invasion that ended with a deadly stabbing.
Jonathon Boyer, 27, Roland Klyne, 28, and Bradley Campbell, 33, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the April 2010 killing of Ricky Lathlin, 34, inside a Gilbert Avenue residence. They were originally charged with second-degree murder but struck a deal to plead guilty to the less serious charge.
Boyer was sentenced Monday to 91/2 years in prison, while Klyne and Campbell were given eight years behind bars. Those penalties include pretrial custody, for which they were given double-time credit because it predates legislative changes outlawing the practice.
Two other accused remain before the courts -- James Henry, 40, and Terry Davis, 33.
