Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop (whether you spend $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions until 4 p.m. The moon is in Sagittarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Discussions with others, especially about politics, religion or racial matters might be unusually serious today. However, you might learn something valuable from someone who is more experienced. You might just as easily learn some excellent travel tips.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

You'll take a serious approach to discussions about shared property, taxes, debt, inheritances and anything you own jointly with others. You want to be very clear about boundaries and responsibilities. Although this is a good day to discuss these matters, it's a poor day for final decisions.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Talk to friends and partners about practical matters today. Look to the future and explore possibilities that you want to entertain. Every plan requires some shoe leather or missionary work. In discussions with others, you might discover helpful facts you really need.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

You won't mind doing routine, relatively boring work today. It won't feel like drudgery because you see it as something that simply needs to be done. It is what it is. Your powers of concentration are excellent. Furthermore, you won't overlook details. (Commendable!)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Discussions about vacations, sports and the care or education of children can be quite productive today. Ditto for discussions about the arts or the entertainment world. Even fun, pleasurable activities need planning or how else will you get a seat on the plane tomorrow?

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Family discussions, especially those involving females, will probably be productive today. People are concerned with long-range results and how to secure things so that they are more reliable for everyone in the future. It's that kind of day.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You won't mind doing mental work that's a bit routine today. In fact, it will give you pleasure to accomplish a lot simply because you have the focus, attention to detail and endurance for the job. Sometimes you're just ready to work. Today is one of those days.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Financial discussions will be practical and will have a long-range focus in the future. If you're shopping, please check with moon alert above. The kinds of purchases that will interest you will have to be practical, affordable and long-lasting. (That rules out the Christian Louboutins.) Oh well. Bad day to shop.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You feel surprisingly sensible and in control today. Even though you are aware of your feelings, you won't let them overwhelm you. Instead, you will likely focus on your responsibilities to others because you feel it's your duty to respect your obligations.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a good day for research if you need to find answers or search for something or seek out solutions. Your instinct for where they will be is unerring, and you'll have the patience to keep at it until you find what you're looking for.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Listen to the advice of those who are older or more experienced than you because it can certainly benefit you today. Why not stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before you? Learn from their mistakes to save yourself a little time and grief. Eh wot?

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Others might be surprised at how serious and responsible you are, especially people in authority. Not all Pisceans are just dreamers. Einstein was Pisces and we know he knew how to ride a bicycle. There is a famous picture of him doing this.

Canadian humanitarian/athlete/cancer activist Terry Fox (1958-1981) shares your birthday You're quick to see the big picture because you're a visionary who thinks in broad strokes. You can sometimes make predictions about the future because you are observant and understand the dynamics of group relationships and trends in society. Personally, you are very loyal. In the next year, a major change could take place, perhaps something as significant as what occurred around 2003-04.
