Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT We have the all-clear today to do business and make important decisions. The moon is in Cancer.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

You might meet someone unusual, a real character. Or perhaps, in a group setting (a small coffee klatch, classroom or large conference) something unusual will take place that surprises you. Whatever it is might trigger new ideas that could prompt you to think about new future goals.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

Relations with authority figures will hold few surprises for you today. Someone might be very pleased with your efforts and offer you praise or a raise or promotion. Alternatively, something might trigger your chance to be self-employed. It appears you will have more freedom from authority for some reason. Yay!

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Sudden opportunities to take a trip or travel somewhere or get further training or education might fall in your lap today. For sure, something different and unexpected will make this an exciting and different day for you. The media and publishing might also hold surprises.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Unexpected gifts, goodies and surprises from others can come your way today. You might hear pleasing news about your partner's income, which means you will benefit indirectly because of someone else's good fortune. Or you might see ways to become a better person.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Partners and close friends will surprise you today. You might also find yourself involved with a member of the public in an unusual way. Today will not unfold as predicted but, quite likely, whatever surprises you will be pleasant. You will feel freer and less hindered.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a positive day at work because you might make great strides dealing with technology and electronics. A new computer system or new toys and gizmos might suddenly be on the scene. You might break away and become self-employed or start a new project. Could be anything.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a day full of pleasant surprises. However, it's also a mildly accident-prone day for your kids, so do keep your eyes open. Sudden flirtations might be exciting. An opportunity to enter or participate in a sports event might arise. Ditto for anything regarding the arts. Not a boring day! (Hey -- if your bread is stale, make toast.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Your home routine will be interrupted today. Small appliances could break down or minor breakages could occur. Surprise company might knock at your door. On the other hand, whatever interrupts your routine could be fun. A big new TV or computer?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Your everyday encounters will be quite interesting. Expect to meet new people and encounter new experiences. You feel bright, clever and lively. Something in your immediate environment will change in an unexpected way.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Keep an eye on your money and your possessions because it's a bit of a crapshoot. You might find money; you might lose money. You might lose a possession due to theft, loss or breakage. Or you might suddenly buy a new toy that intrigues you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You feel clever and interesting. And indeed, you are. It's easy for you to think out of the box, which is why others are entertained by your input. However, you don't want to be constrained or held back. You want independence and freedom! (What's new?)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Research or behind-the-scenes work might reveal surprising answers. Eureka! You might find the missing link to whatever you're working on. You might also discover secrets about others. Naturally, you'll be discreet. If not, there's always Facebook.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Singer/songwriter Neil Diamond (1941) shares your birthday. People are drawn to you, mostly because they admire you. (And you love their admiration.) Sometimes you appear withdrawn or aloof but this is a just defence to maintain your privacy. You need some courage to break down these walls and just be who you are. In the year ahead, you will build or construct something that is valuable. Your rewards will soon follow.
