Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to do business and make important decisions until 10:45 p.m. The moon is in Leo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a positive day full of playful impulses. You might feel flirtatious. (You certainly want to have fun.) Sports, pleasant times for children, the arts and movies will all appeal to you today. Secret love affairs might be in the picture.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is a social time for you, which is why you might want to take it easy and relax at home. You need a breather! Discussions with a female relative, especially Mom, could be significant. Cocoon at home if you can.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

This is a busy, chatty, on-the-move day. Discussions with others will invigorate you because you feel you have something to say, you want to enlighten someone. Short trips will appeal. Many will enjoy reading and writing. It's a fun, busy day!

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Your focus on money, cash flow and earnings is strong. You might dream up clever money-making ideas. You feel more attached to something you own, which is why it's a good idea to clean or maintain whatever you own. "This is mine -- forever."

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

The moon is in Leo and it's the day of the Oscars. (How appropriate because Leo "rules" the entertainment world and show business.) When the moon is in your sign you might be more emotional than usual. (I'm sure this will be an emotional day for many actors and people in the biz.)

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Work alone or behind the scenes because you need quiet time. Right now, you're heavily involved with partners and close friends; some of this is good, some not so good. Mars can make you impatient with others and retrograde Mercury is bringing ex-partners back into your world.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Continue in work mode because you want to get better organized. Today, however, discussions with a female acquaintance, especially in a group setting, could be significant. This person might even influence your future goals. Keep an open mind. (But not so open that everything falls out.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You're a private person. Make note that personal details about your private life could become public, especially in the eyes of bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. An argument in an elevator would be classic. Be on guard.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Do something different today because you're longing for a bit of adventure and excitement. Travel if you can because a change of scenery will stimulate you. Go someplace you've never been before. Try a new ethnic restaurant. Talk to people from different countries.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You might want to clean up loose details with mortgages, loans, taxes, debt, inheritances and insurance matters. This is dry red-tape stuff but it's gotta be done. Do what you can and then you'll love yourself for it later.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Partners or close friends are particularly significant today because the moon is opposite your sign. However, this also means you need to be more tolerant and flexible and prepared to go more than halfway. (When the moon is in your sign two weeks from now, people can bow down to you.)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Do whatever you can to feel better organized and more on top of your scene. Get rid of five things from your bathroom or kitchen that you don't need. Declutter the place. A little bit every day helps. (That's how it got cluttered in the first place, right?)

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Guitarist George Thorogood (1950) shares your birthday. You are so giving, you often find yourself in a position of sacrifice. The well-being and happiness of others is a source of your own personal reward. It's important to work for the common good by finding a win-win solution so that you are not left in the dust. Fortunately, your year ahead will be delightfully social and will benefit all relationships.
