Today's Horoscope

MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions all day. It's a goofy, imaginative, creative day. The moon is in Gemini.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

This is a creative day for writers and anyone doing creative projects with their hands or minds. It's also great day for a fun, short trip. But it's a poor day to sign documents or agree to anything important.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

It is a loosey-goosey day with finances. It's a poor day to shop for anything other than food. It's also a poor day to make important financial decisions, although you will be tempted. Nevertheless, your creative powers are strong. Therefore, write down your ideas so you can run them up the flagpole tomorrow.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

It's a whimsical, playful day. The moon, in your sign, is floating free like a helium balloon, making you creative and full of thought-provoking ideas. Nevertheless, you're all over the map. It's a poor day for linear, logical decisions. Take notes and postpone commitment to anything until tomorrow.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Your subconscious is working overtime, which is why you are highly intuitive. However, this is a poor day to trust solid decisions (and a poor day to spend money). Just observe everything and take it easy.

LEO July 23-Aug. 22)

It's a fantastic day to shmooz with friends. Take a long lunch or play hooky because this is a great day to just hang out. Creative ideas will flow. You want to chat, make suggestions and enjoy an easy give-and-take with others. Just keep things light.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a poor day to have important discussions with authority figures -- bosses, parents, teachers and the police. Although you can kick around ideas in an exploratory fashion, do not agree to anything important. Stay chill.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Because you are in touch with your muse, feel free to explore far-out ideas. Talk to people from different backgrounds and other countries. Visit beautiful places, especially libraries, university campuses and museums. Enjoy.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Although you might be focused on shared property, taxes, debt, inheritances and insurance matters, this is a poor day to make important decisions in these areas. Just collect facts and do your homework. Do not sign anything, do not agree to anything.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Enjoy conversations with others, especially close friends and partners. In fact, you can probably learn something about your style of relating to others because the moon is opposite your sign. It's a great day to just relax, goof off and enjoy hanging out with others.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You might have a desire to improve your health or become more efficient and productive in your job. In fact, this is probably your focus. Nevertheless, you will get sidetracked and bogged down by silly little things and shortages. Tomorrow will be more effective.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a playful, romantic day. Enjoy flirting with everyone. Sports events, the theatre, the arts and playful activities with children will appeal. You won't feel like working but take note: This can be a productive day for creative people.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

You might want to hide at home and just cocoon with some junk food and your favourite book or TV show. This is a poor day for important decisions, but it's a good day to relax and dream up ideas, because your mind is super-imaginative.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Astronaut Chris Hadfield (1959) shares your birthday. You have a wonderful imagination and, at times, you are whimsical. You're good at improvising because you are practical and inventive. You're an excellent problem solver, but you might be so involved in whatever you do your mate is lonely. You approach life with enormous physical vigour. Make time to study or learn something valuable this year. You won't regret it.
