Moon Alert: Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 1:15 a.m. until 5:20 p.m. After that the moon moves from Leo into Virgo.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

The sun, Mercury and Uranus are in your sign this month, which means a lot of energy is swirling around you -- energy you can use. You are motivated to do things and talk to people. And because your energy is high, they will listen. As for today, see the moon alert above. Keep your head down and your powder dry.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

The day feels indecisive or wishy-washy. Don't worry about this; Everybody is in the same boat, and yes, it's listing to one side. Cocoon at home if you can. Keep a low profile until the sun enters your sign next week on April 19. Then you can howl.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Do not commit to anything important because everything is too loosey-goosey. Chalk it up to the stars. (See moon alert above.) However, this is a creative day because you can think out-of-the-box. Write down some of your genius-like ideas. Who knows?

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Although your attention might be drawn to shopping, cash flow, earnings or anything to do with financial matters -- be careful! For most of this day, it's a poor time to shop or spend money on anything other than food. Forewarned is forearmed. (See moon alert.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a playful, fun-loving day because the moon is in your sign and, at the same time, it is a moon alert for most of the day. This means you are full of wild, crazy, creative ideas. It also means you might want to goof off. Your efficiency will definitely suffer. Just relax.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Play it low-key. Just do your thing. It's an imaginative day full of flights of fantasy. Enjoy your own company. However, most of you will have to be a slave to your wage. If so, carry on as usual, but avoid important decisions and major expenditures.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a lovely day to shmooz with others, especially females, because people feel lighthearted and social. By contrast, for the most part (check moon alert above) this is a poor day to volunteer for anything or agree to anything important. Just goof off and enjoy your day.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is the kind of day where you might make goofy mistakes and everyone notices. Busted. Or something from your past or your personal life is suddenly public. Busted. Be aware of this possibility. Is your zipper open?

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You will love to see beautiful places: art, parks, buildings, galleries and museums, as well as hear and discuss profound and beautiful ideas. You want to expand your world and experience of life. By definition, a quantum leap can be quite small.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Right now you are focused on inheritances, shared property and such. However, before you make any important decisions regarding these matters, check with the moon alert above. You will do yourself a favour if you respect it.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

The moon is still opposite your sign, which means you still have to go more than halfway in meeting others. However, most of the day is actually loosey-goosey, so don't worry about anything too much. Enjoy shmoozing.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Your efficiency at work will suffer. Grr. But lo -- what message from yonder modem breaks? Don't get hung up on what goes haywire; instead appreciate the fact your ability to be creative and see things with new eyes is excellent. You rock!

Today's birthday

Actress Shay Mitchell (1987) shares your birthday. You are courageous and in the eyes of others, you are a risk taker. In fact, some of you are gamblers. Although you like to feel settled in your life, you are also independent and have a strong love for your profession. Save your money this year and cut down on expenses. An important decision will arise. Choose wisely.
