Volunteers needed and greatly appreciated for the CIBC Run for the Cure, Sept. 30. Information: 231-4885 or cbcf.org .

Horse Connection provides an educational horseback-riding program in partnership with school divisions in Winnipeg. Looking for volunteers to serve on the board of directors. Information: president@thehorseconnection.net .

A&O: Support Services for Older Adults needs caring individuals to reach out to socially isolated older adults living in Winnipeg to engage in activities such as sharing a hobby, going for a walk or for coffee or reading a book or newspaper aloud. Run for Diabetes is Sept. 3 at Assiniboine Park and requires volunteer course marshals, finish-line attendants, food-station attendants, parking and traffic control, site setup and take-down and bicyclists. Information: Kelvin, 925-3800, ext. 225, or kelvin.hollander@diabetes.ca .

Kids Help Phone seeking volunteers for their BMO Boolathon on Oct. 28. Volunteers required in the following areas: greeter, lane runner, registration, fundraising rewards and finance. Information: Alana 925-5675 or alana.ollinger@kidshelpphone.ca .

Manitoba Lung Association is looking for a data entry clerk for approximately seven hours per week (one full day or two half days). Experience with Raiser's Edge is an asset. Information: Lynda, 774-5501, ext. 229, or lynda.gilchuk@mb.lung.ca .

Volunteers needed for the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services half marathon Oct. 20 in the following areas: course marshals; parking lot attendants; start/finish line attendants; porta pottie attendants; T-shirt exchange/bag check-in attendants; massage/medic tent attendants; volunteer check-in attendants.
