Looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity this fall that involves a one-hour commitment per week?

The English Language Centre at the University of Manitoba needs volunteers who are willing to meet and visit with international students. By simply socializing, you can provide listening and speaking practice, helping to improve their opportunity for success. Information: Crystal Beyak, crystal.beyak@ad.umanitoba, or 204-474-6722.

 

The ALS Society of Manitoba is currently looking for event volunteers to assist at various fundraisers, including a walk at Assiniboine Park, June 1. In addition, they are looking for clerical support. Information: Anrea, 204-837-1270, or azaslov@alsmb.ca.

 

The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra requires a temporary office assistant from July 15-19 for general office duties between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and a permanent administrative assistant is required one day per week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Information: Minhye Shyn, 204-949-3950, or wso@wso.mb.ca.

 

Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports (Sports Manitoba Building) is looking for a summer admin/clerical volunteer to help with data entry and simple work in Excel. Time commitment is early May to mid-June; flexible schedule. Information: Amy Draper, 204-925-5665, or director@mods.mb.ca.

 

Junior Achievement Manitoba is looking for a volunteer to assist a teacher with financial literacy for young students in a classroom setting. Experience in business community is beneficial. Commitment is three hours. Information: Shauna Angers, 204-956-6088, or sangers@jamanitoba.org.

 

The Manitoba Schizophrenia Society is looking for a receptionist one day a week for office administration and customer service. Information: Viola, 204-786-1616, or info@mss.mb.ca.
