Big Brothers Mentoring program provides boys and young men with a role model and a friend to talk to and share the experiences of growing up. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee that is built on trust and common interests. Male volunteer mentors are needed. Candace House is a newly established charity seeking to assist victims of serious crime by providing a safe, comfortable refuge near the Law Courts in Winnipeg. We are in need of a treasurer to sit on our board of directors. Responsibilities will include ensuring the annual financial statements are reviewed, that the organization meets compliance requirements with the Canada Revenue Agency and the province and in general provides financial advice to the board.
