Winnipeg Police Service, in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, requires several volunteers to assist with the annual half-marathon May 4. Help is needed with any of the following: merchandise sales, site setup, race-kit pickup, breakfast crew, course marshal, relay exchange, course cyclist or finish line. MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division, needs volunteers in the following areas: route marshal, maintenance crew and parking attendants for its MS Walk on May 4, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Information: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JY75VVN.

 

Rivera Parkwise Place needs a volunteer recreation program assistant to help the staff during group programming for our personal care home residents. Information: pierre.feng@reveraliving.com.

 

Wayfinders is looking for smart, patient, funny, cool volunteers who want to tutor and/or mentor high school students two hours each week or once a month. Information: awit.marcelino@7oaks.org.

 

Heart and Stroke Foundation in Manitoba requires telephone thank-you callers for one three-hour shift a week, Monday-Friday during the day to thank volunteer canvassers. Information: jkaufman@heartandstroke.mb.ca or 204-949-2041.
