Villa Cabrini Inc. a seniors residence, is looking for an administrative assistant to help with special events, develop posters, etc. Information: vcabrini@mts.net.

 

Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue is seeking a board member with skills in financial management, HR/governance and/or strategic thinking. Commitment is 40-60 hours/year. Information: nschneider@manitobamutts.org by May 24.

 

The Friends of Sherbrook Pool are seeking volunteers to assist with swim programming and transportation. This is a rewarding opportunity for those who enjoy working with children and are interested in community development in the inner city. Criminal-record and child-abuse-registry checks are required. Osteoporosis Canada, Manitoba chapter, is seeking a conscientious volunteer to become a member of their major fundraising event committee. The Arthritis Foundation would appreciate volunteers in various capacities to help facilitate the Walk to Fight Arthritis June 8, 10 a.m.-noon. Various shifts/jobs available for this pet- and family-friendly event. Information: mlaplante@arthritis.ca.

 

St. Benedict's Monastery & Retreat would like compassionate mealtime helpers twice a week to assist their senior residents during the lunch/dinner buffet. Information: 204-338-4601.

 

Golden West Centennial Lodge requires a patient, kind quilting assistant who enjoys working with seniors to work with the recreational facilitator before/during/after the quilting program. Information: mhamblin@goldenwest.ca.

 

Good Neighbours Active Living Centre would welcome a maintenance-room janitorial assistant, Tuesday and Thursday, 3-4:30 p.m. to set up/take down tables/chairs and sweep/mop floors. Information: 204-669-1710 or volunteer@gnalc.ca.

 

St. Boniface Hospital needs a library assistant with some computer skills who can walk/stand for an entire shift to sort/assess/process/stock donated reading materials. Information: www.saintboniface.ca.
