Voters list still in progress

DOOR-TO-DOOR enumeration for the Oct.4 provincial general election is now complete, but if you weren't home when the enumerator called, don't worry -- you can still have your name added to the list.

The preliminary voters list shows approximately 712,000 voters throughout the province have been enumerated.

We are now in the "revision period" until Sept. 22, which will allow for adding, removing and correcting names on the voters list.

If you weren't enumerated, contact your returning office to arrange for an election official to visit you at home, or go to the returning office in person. You must bring one piece of government-issued photo identification (such as a driver's licence) or two other documents with your name.

Returning offices are open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. except Sunday, when they are open from noon until 6 p.m.

To find the address of your returning office, call Elections Manitoba at 945-3225 or visit the Elections Manitoba website: www.electionsmanitoba.ca
