INCIDENT 249

When: Nov. 2

Where: 2300 block of McPhillips Street

A woman going through a checkout at a shopping-mall store forgot to place her wallet back in her purse and left the store. A man next in line took the wallet. When the victim discovered her error, she returned to the store and was able to locate the man who took her wallet. However, he refused to return it and had already made some fraudulent purchases. She followed him for a distance and saw him board a city transit bus. His picture was obtained through cameras on the bus.
