Brad Friesen, a climber with the St.Boniface section of the Alpine Club of Canada, is surrounded by the city skyline as he begins his rappel down the locally designed ice tower situated next to Fort Gibraltar in St. Boniface. The club is hosting a climbing competition for speed and difficulty on February 14 and 15 and is open to the public with gear rental available on site.
