Winnipeg police released the results of the Festive Season Checkstop Program’s third week in operation.
As part of the program, the Winnipeg Police Service stopped 1398 vehicles, of which 37 drivers were given breathalyser tests. Winnipeg police issued a dozen 24-hour suspensions, 10 drive-impaired/over/refusal charges and 41 traffic-related provincial offence notices.
The Checkstop Program will be run throughout the week and into the New Year.
