Free Press editorial cartoonist Dale Cummings retires

After 30 years of fearlessly drawing vivid conclusions — about 7,000 cartoons — Dale Cummings has retired. From the early days of chronicling Winnipeg's crime scene, to the creation of the Aboriginal Justice Inquiry and the collapse of the Soviet dinosaurs, to such recent events as the election of the first black U.S. president, Stephen Harper's majority victory and the return of the Jets, Dale has epitomized a core tenet of newspapering — show me, don't tell me.
