    A year ago, Kyanna Pingue-Giles watched from afar as a perfect season went up in smoke for her Sisler Spartans teammates. This time, she was on the floor with them and her presence left a huge imprint on the Milk AAAA Manitoba Girls High School Basketball Championships. Pingue-Giles, who missed last year’s championship final as she attended a Team Canada Under-17 training camp, scored 24 points and added seven assists and eight steals in a dominant 83-51 win over the Oak Park Raiders Monday night in front of a rabid house at the University of Winnipeg. - Ed Tait
