Investors Group Field has new artificial turf installed: PHOTOS

The company FieldTurf produces the state-of-the-art artificial turf that now makes up the field at Investors Group Field, the new Blue Bombers stadium. After the carpet of artificial grass is laid, 500 tonnes of rubber and sand are poured into the "grass" to create infill. Here are photos from the installation on Tuesday, October 16th.

The final piece of artificial turf was laid down to create the new field for the Blue Bombers at Investors Group Field. The turf was laid down this week by the company FieldTurf and they will add 500 tonnes of rubber and sand to create the "infill" that reduces injuries on impact. Melissa Tait / Winnipeg Free Press
