The 2015 Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts was held June 19 at the Fairmont Hotel. More than 500 people attended, including individual artists, arts organizations, local businesses, many city councillors and Mayor Brian Bowman. The Mayor’s Luncheon is an occasion to celebrate the Winnipeg Arts Council awards winners and nominees who represent the diverse and talented arts community in the city. The Manitoba Dental Association (MDA) was out in full force at the Winnipeg International Children’s Festival at The Forks on June 6, 2015. Volunteer dentists and dental assistants saw more than 300 children. The MDA has been running Tooth Fairy Saturday at the festival since 1996.
