Monday morning, the city and provincial government unveiled a list of over 100 city streets and back lanes that will see reconstruction and rehabilitation projects get started this summer.
A record $48.9 million, shared by the city and province, is committed to local Winnipeg streets this summer, with a portion of that money going to city sidewalks, bridges, curbs, walkways and bike paths. On top of that, another $35-million is slated to go to regional streets, Mayor Sam Katz indicated today.
