Tyler, 6, born a girl and known until 2 years ago as Kathryn, poses for a portrait with his dog, "Princess," at his Washington-area home. His parents allowed him to present himself as a boy when he was 4, after he was diagnosed with gender identity disorder. They say they have no second thoughts about their decision.
