Schuler doesn’t get an answer
Quite the exchange earlier this week in question period between Tory education critic Ron Schuler (Springfield) and Education Minister Peter Bjornson.
Asking about H1N1 plans, Schuler raised the possibility that there should be a temporary ban on school and community sports teams doing the ritual handshakes before and after the match.

There’ve been stories on the wire about some professional leagues doing just that -- Mexican pro soccer among them, I believe.
Bjornson accused Schuler of trying to ‘turn up’ hysteria over a possible flu pandemic.
But this being question period, of course, the minister did not address the issue.
Though he did reiterate his constant message that the education system will take direction from the health officials.
