The cat came back — with a little help
Kramer, our seven-year-old tabby, left his home in Lindenwoods on Sept. 21. When he did not return, we thought he had drowned in the Hudson.
Not the brightest of all our cats but the most curious, Kramer always seemed to find trouble, or trouble found him.
We were overjoyed when we received a call from Centennial Animal Hospital exactly two months later on Nov. 21. An angel named Enza, heard Kramer’s cries and did the right thing, taking him in to the clinic. We’ve learned Enza has rescued a few animals over the years.
Thank you to all the people who helped Kramer as he mooched his way from Lindenwoods to Fort Richmond, and to John on Bairdmore Boulevard who kept him warm and hydrated when the snow fell.
Kramer was none the worse for wear for his adventure. We are thrilled to have him home for the holidays. Thank you, Enza, for making this possible.
