  • Helping hands at Costco

A big thank-you to the two friendly ladies at Costco who helped load a big comfy chair into our CRV .

  • Great care at hospitals

I was recently hospitalized in both Misericordia and Victoria hospitals and although I cannot remember the names of all the doctors, nurses and other medical staff, I would like to send a special thank you for the care they took of me.

  • Never forget kind neighbour

On Christmas Eve I arrived home after church to find my garage door would not go down. I locked the cars, and went into the house as I was unable to do anything else.

  • Thanks for all the help

I was headed to Polo Park with my elderly mother when she slipped on some ice and fell backward, smacking her head on the road.

  • Thanks to city workers

I am so proud of the efficient way our streets are being cleared of snow. Thanks to the city worker who helped me get rid of the huge windrow at the end of my sidewalk.

  • ‘I was the lucky one’

I just want to send a big thank-you to a very kind gentleman.

  • So many helping hands

I was driving on Highway 44, heading west to Garson. The conditions were rough, and going around a bend right after Tyndall, I lost control of my truck on the icy highway. It ended up rolling four times before landing belly up in the median, leaving myself and my two children hanging upside down.

  • Nothing like a kind neighbour

I want to say thank you to my neighbour for clearing our curb of a huge ice pile-up after the streets were cleared. I run a home daycare so was not able to go out and shovel after the plows came by, and my husband was at work.

  • So grateful for kind people

On two separate occasions, I have gone into Elite Carpets on St. Anne’s Road looking for some assistance in solving a problem.

  • Thank you, Johnny

I would like to send a very big thank you to Johnny.

  • Police to the rescue

Our daughter, who became stuck on Kenaston Boulevard late on a Friday during a storm, was helped to become unstuck by a Winnipeg Police officer.

  • Heavy lifting no deterrent

I purchased an elliptical exercise machine from Canadian Tire that weighed nearly 200 pounds. My brother was going to pick it up and carry it up to my fourth floor apartment for me.

  • The wonderful staff’s present

It was Christmas Eve and I was at the McDonald’s on St. Anne’s Road, reading my Kobo e- reader, when my friend came so I put it in my bag.

  • A small gesture, immensely appreciated

I would like to thanks the group of teenage girls in the women’s change room at the Elmwood/Kildonan Pool on Concordia Avenue.

  • Thank you for taking care

I noticed traffic was backed up as I was walking down Portage Avenue. I wondered if there was a stalled car down the way, but couldn’t see anything right away.

  • Jason went above and beyond

I gave my daughter and son-in-law a large (2 foot by 3 foot) canvas print for Christmas.

  • Do angels drive City of Winnipeg buses?

I enjoy walking for exercise and am committed to it six days a week, Saturday reserved as my rest day.

  • My Good Samaritan, Steve

I cannot begin to thank the wonderful young man, Steve, who came to my aid after I was struck by another vehicle as I approached Confusion Corner. My car was swept off the road, up the curb and then ran along a length of snow bank before finally coming to a stop.

  • Body shop guy handy guy to know

I had an appointment at the Health Science Hospital so my husband decided to go in the underground parking.

  • Stranger an angel

The woman I want to thank is a complete stranger to both my husband and me, but she is an angel.
