This Mother’s Day was going to be a difficult one for our family. It was the first Mother’s Day without Mom as we lost our dear mother last August.
After visiting my parents at the cemetery that May morning, I decided that the best way to make the day go by was to keep busy so I started to rake my front lawn.
While picking up the grass and leaves, I noticed a young blonde girl coming up the front sidewalk. Just as she walked by me, she stopped and, with a big smile on her face, she wished me a Happy Mother’s Day!
I know that she had no idea of the sadness I was feeling that day, but I just wanted to say thank you to that sweet young thing for lifting my spirits that afternoon.
I truly feel that she and her thoughtful greeting were sent to me by my mother that day.
