Above and beyond the call of duty

I would like to have two employees recognized for their exceptional service when a snowstorm stranded me recently.
They are Bobby, the manager, and Katie, a 19-year-old waitress, at the Denny’s in the Flying J at the Trans Canada Highway at Assiniboia Downs.
I had a diabetic lady and her husband in Winnipeg for appointments, and we got stranded unable to make it back to Portage. We weren’t alone, but these two employees looked after us for 15 hours straight, always smiling, joking, never complaining.
All stranded motorists were treated with the best of customer service. Bobby and Katie ran that place on their own because other staff couldn’t make it to work.
Anyone who has employees like that needs to be aware how important they are and needs to appreciate and thank them for being who they are.
I’ve also written to their head office so it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Thank you from all of us.
