Blanche shared her Mother’s Day

  • Print

Last year I lost my son to cancer.

I was not looking forward to Mother’s Day. There would be no card or flowers from my only child.

On Mother’s Day morning, I received a phone call from a lady who lives in the apartment above me. She said she had something for me. A few minutes later she arrived at my door with two red roses in a vase.

She said she was aware of my stress. She said that she received a bouquet of roses from her son and would like to share some with me in hopes they would ease my pain.

This is from a lady I barely know. The world is full of compassionate people and one of them lives in the apartment above me.

Many thanks for making my day very special, Blanche.
