Bless those North Enders
Because someone else hadn’t done it, I had to pick up four big boxes of donuts for an event by bus with 45 minutes notice.
I was standing at the counter of the Robin’s Donuts on Redwood Avenue and Main Street, with my cane in hand and a tower of boxes to wrestle onto a bus. I had no idea how I was going to manage.
The wonderful young lady behind the counter, Nora, asked where I was going, and said she would ask her boyfriend, John, who was working in the back, to drive me there.
I could have cried, I was so happy.
John took me right to where I was going and helped me in with the boxes. I got there 10 minutes ahead of schedule.
I couldn’t be more grateful, and I wanted to thank them in this way. North Enders are wonderful, helpful folks, and I truly appreciated Nora and John’s kindness to me that day.
