I made my way to my seat at the Bombers’ exhibition game at the Investors Group Field on June 12.
I was sitting there for quite a while, waiting for friends, when a nice young couple came along and informed me I was in one of their seats. After some ticket comparisons we discovered that I was in the wrong section (darn my sense of direction) and I made my way to the next section over.
When I got to my actual seat, I realized that I’d left my nearly full bottle of water in the original location. But after making numerous people stand up for me, I didn’t want to make the trek back and then back again.
About an hour later, I was feeling very thirsty when a man came up the stairs, smiled and held out my bottle of water and said, "You forgot this over there."
I thanked him profusely — called him a sweetie — and he was on his way before I could ask his name.
I hope he reads this and realizes that his kindness made my day a little brighter.
