My husband and I were driving home with two of our grandchildren and their little dog in the car when one of the back tires blew just before the intersection of Grassie and Lagimodière boulevards.
We managed to get around the corner to pull over and replace the tire with the spare. We are both a little on the older side, plus I had never changed a tire, and we had never had to use the spare so we were having to read the instructions.
While we were figuring this out, a car pulled up on the lane behind us and this guy asked if we needed any help. Well, we, of course did.
This guy, who we only know as Brian, was a godsend. He took over, jacked the car up, took off the old tire and replaced it with the spare. Meanwhile he had kids in his own car who were wondering when Daddy was coming back.
I honestly don’t know what would have happened if Brian had not come along at that particular moment. Sometimes there is no explanation as to why things happen the way they do, they just do.
I believe our guardian angel was looking out for us. We hope that Brian is reading this and knows that we are truly grateful for his help that evening.
