Caring police officers

  • Print

I want to express a big thank you to our police.

I lost control of my car in the icy ruts on Portage Avenue and ended up on top of a snow bank. CAA informed me that it would be six hours before I could get a tow, and as I was only a few blocks from home, I abandoned my car and walked home.

Twice over the next few hours, police knocked on my door asking if I was OK and was there anything they could do to help me as they had seen my car on the snowbank.

Then, to my surprise, another police officer knocked on my door and handed me my wallet. Seems he had taken the time to walk around my car and found my wallet in the snow where it must have fallen as I was climbing out of my car.

So, a very big thank you to our police and their excellent service to us.
