Coffee, doughnuts send big message

  • Print

I just wanted to say thank you to the lady who stopped to help when she saw that my car had a broken axle.

Not only did she stop to see if she could help, but she must have driven past us, saw that we needed help and then proceeded to go to the nearest Tim Hortons and got us a couple of coffees and doughnuts before she came back.

She helped us all right but not in the way you would think. When she brought the coffee and doughnuts to us the tow truck was already at the scene getting the car hooked up.

The way that she truly helped today was by restoring my faith that there really are kind people left in our city.

Next time I see someone on the road needing help I will think twice before continuing on my way.
