Earlier this month, I was getting ready for bed and noticed my wedding ring was missing.
I instantly panicked as I had no idea where I might have lost it.
My husband and I started searching through my purse, in the pockets of the pants I had worn that day, anywhere that we thought it could be.
I phoned 311 and filed a lost property report. I called or visited everywhere I had been and asked about the ring.
Nothing. Needless to say, I was devastated. I seriously thought I would never see my ring again.
On my way to work in the office tower at cityplace mall the next day, I checked with security staff. To my amazement, my ring was there. It had been turned in by a woman who also works in the building.
I could not believe my good luck and was so happy to have my ring back. I found out who she was and sent her a thank you card with a small token of my appreciation.
She really doesn’t know how much that meant to me. It’s a gorgeous ring, and it’s the ring my husband placed on my finger the day we got married. That alone makes it special to me.
But I had lost my father to cancer two weeks prior to my wedding day and the only part of my wedding that he got to see was my ring and that is what really makes it irreplaceable.
Thanks again to that wonderful lady.
