Fellow shopper great help

  • Print

My wife and I were shopping at Costco when we came upon a supply of Windshield wipers. Knowing very well a new set was required for our vehicle we began to investigate. A fellow shopper — very helpful to two seniors — was there and after an informative discussion, a decision was made to get a set.

Our shopping excursion was soon over and on arriving at the checkout, found our same fellow shopper behind us in the line.

The set of wiper blades was paid for, and at that point, we were informed they could not be installed at that location.

I then remarked what do I do now.

A voice from behind, our fellow shopper, remarked, "Don’t worry about that. We will look at them outside." A quick trip across the aisle to inform his wife he would be back in five minutes, and we were off.

The wind was cold and no tools available. Nevertheless, the new blades were installed in short order and off we went.

John, we indeed appreciate your true act of kindness.
