Four pals say thanks for supper

  • Print

Three friends — Bernice, Laurette and Shirley — and I went to the Canad Inns on Pembina Highway for supper recently.

After the meal, we asked for separate bills. When the waitress came back, she said we did not have to pay as a gentleman had paid for our meals.

We thought she was joking, but she said he had asked her to wait until he left before she told us.

We were all in shock to think someone would do this, and wished we could have thanked him. We do not know who he is but want to express our gratitude (and complete surprise) to him and thought this would be a good way to do it.
