Gentlemen offer auto assistance

  • Print

I AM writing to express my sincere thanks to the two gentlemen who responded to my call for help recently.

I am a senior citizen, and my car stalled on St. Mary’s Road southbound. It was the evening peak period, and I was afraid the situation could result in an accident because the car stalled near the median, very close to the intersection with Vivian Avenue. The road is curved there, and many drivers were driving at high speed.

I ran to Midland Appliance World for help and two gentlemen from the store immediately came to help me move the car to a nearby parking lot.

A cyclist who was going by also stopped to help. It was a real relief for me because of the dangerous situation.

I did not get a chance to get the names of the gentlemen. I am ever thankful to them, however, for preventing a possible accident. The friendly nature of our city is well exemplified by their help.
