Good people in Portage la Prairie
I believe in the goodness of people. I experienced an anonymous woman’s goodness in Portage la Prairie at about 2 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Canadian Tire parking lot.
I had just bought a gift I was excited about and was in a rush to get home. I took the gift and my other bags out of my cart and put them in my trunk and promptly drove away.
A couple of kilometres down the road, I realized that I didn’t have my purse which contained my wallet and my cellphone. I stopped and checked my trunk and suddenly realized that I had left my purse in the cart in the busy Canadian Tire parking lot.
I trusted that the people of Portage are good and that when I returned to the store, my purse would be there. Sure enough, as soon as I walked up to Customer Service, there it was on the counter.
A friendly man who was in line told me that a woman had just brought it in, saying that she found it in a cart in the parking lot.
That wonderful woman did not leave her name, but I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for turning in my purse with all contents intact.
I promise to pay your random act of kindness forward. Thank you
