Good turns — and turkeys

We live in a great city full of great people (excluding a few turkeys). Where else can you be a forgetful fool and leave your wallet in a shopping cart at a Giant Tiger store and have it returned to you by the police the next day.

The police received it from the elderly gentleman who found it and never even opened it before turning it in. Thank you again, Frank.

And that wasn’t the only time I had such luck.

My car was broken into and my BlackBerry taken (yes, I know another, forgetful fool moment for leaving it there.) But get this: by 10 a.m. I received a call from the police saying someone had found it and turned it in. I hadn’t even noticed it was missing.

Thanks also to the St. James police who, in both cases, put a lot of effort into tracking me down — they probably have me on speed dial now — and getting me my lost goods incredibly fast.
