I am a cashier at Giant Tiger and had the opportunity to witness a random act of kindness.
I was serving a young couple who had quite a few bags of groceries, and I asked if they would be walking, as I would double-bag their groceries. The temperatures that night were -46 with the wind chill.
They responded with, "Yes, thank you very much." It was a good feeling to ask. They seemed happy to see that I was even concerned.
Following this conversation, a customer in line behind them asked where they lived and offered them a ride home. What a considerate lady!
I did not get her name, but I’m sure when she sees this she will know it is for her. This really made my night to see someone who really cared and was so willing to help a complete stranger. The couple was very surprised and thankful. Nice to see.
