Hey there, time traveller!

My family and I decided to go out for a special breakfast after church one Sunday morning. We had heard that the restaurant in the Nor-Villa Hotel had a fairly new one and served an awesome breakfast buffet.
My favorite treat for a special breakfast is a smoked salmon and asparagus omelet. That’s what I ordered instead of going to the buffet.
All were served with their food except me. The waitress returned to our table saying they were sorry but could not make my omelet because there was no asparagus. I chose something else and was happy with that.
When we were almost finished with our meal, Barry, the restaurant owner, made his trip around the tables to ask if we were happy with our orders. I said everything was great but that I did miss my omelet since they were out of asparagus.
A few minutes later Barry came to our table with a huge bunch of asparagus. We had a good laugh about it. Before we had all left the table and were putting our coats on, Barry again appeared at our table and handed me a take-home box. Inside, there was a freshly made salmon and asparagus omelet for my next breakfast.
Not only did he go the extra mile to make that omelet, he also chatted a while with us. I said to him, "You have a good heart." Barry smiled broadly and said, "Yes, I don’t really know why, but I just simply love what I do."
So hats off to Barry at the Nor-Villa Hotel, an awesome chef and a caring man who puts his customers first to make them feel special. We will certainly make repeat visits to Barry, my favorite chef and now a friend. He made my day.
