Help in rush hour

I was driving home at about 4 p.m. when my car stalled at the busy intersection of Kenaston Boulevard and Taylor Avenue.

I just couldn’t get it to start again. So I went to the car directly behind me and explained that my car wouldn’t start. The driver came up to my car and not only did he get it started, but said he would follow me home so I wouldn’t get stuck again.

We set out, me in my car and he and his wife in theirs. But my car wouldn’t go faster than about 30 kilometres an hour. So he directed me to take back streets home and stuck with me all the way, even though that route turned the five-minute drive into a 20-minute drive.

I parked in my garage and rushed to get my husband so we could thank this kind couple properly. We got their name, but we can’t find them in the phone book or we would send them a dozen roses. We are so grateful for their kindness.
