Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 2/2/2014 (1080 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
This thank-you is long overdue. It goes out to Murray Boonstra of Boonstra Berry Farms, east of Stonewall.
Every winter at the first snowfall, he comes with his tractor and snowblower and plows the driveways of at least six neighbours. He has been doing this for many years. Last year, he was at our place 11 times.
We all know he can’t do this for nothing. The fuel is costly, not to mention the wear and tear on the machinery, as well as his time involved.
He won’t take any money. He does this because he wants to.
How’s that for being a good neighbour? We call him our snow angel.
Thank you, Murray and family, and have a healthy and happy New Year from all your Highway 67 neighbours.
