Hockey career not over
I had my car stolen with my goalie equipment inside. That quickly put an end to the many hockey games I was playing a week.
I managed to replace my car but with no insurance on my goalie equipment and a baby on the way, I knew my time playing goal was done.
Recently, I did manage to play and afterwards met up with my friends at Earls. There, Johnny, a good hockey friend of mine, told me he had raised (without my knowledge) money to replace my equipment -- over $2,000 just by asking some very generous hockey groups I play with.
This whole experience has left me feeling amazed at how kind and wonderful people can be. Thank you to everybody who donated and to Sean for the equipment donation.
See ya guys, at the rinks in my new goalie gear.
