Intends to pay it forward
Friday afternoon in the Costco parking lot, I had just purchased a small fridge which stubbornly refused to fit in my car.
I took it out of its box but still no luck. A woman passing by with her own purchases offered to take it in her large 4x4. She had a GPS and said she would wait for me if she arrived first at my home.
Hortense was waiting for me at my house and had started to unload the fridge by the time I got there. I offered her gas money and a cold drink in my house but she politely declined. She simply said, "pay it forward." I was very touched by this random act of kindness and will certainly do as she said.
Thanks again.
