Keeping guard at the loo
I was going to meet my daughter at Portage Place to see The Kings Speech at a Globe Theatre matinee.
I went with my walker on the bus. I took the elevator in Portage place up to the third floor, anticipating using the washroom beside the elevator. The ladies washroom door was locked and also bolted and padlocked to the floor.
The door to the Gents stood wide open. I called through the door to see if anyone was there. When there was no answer I decided to go in as I was in need to go in by then.
Just at that moment a gentleman approached. When I explained the situation, he kindly offered to wait outside and stop anyone else from entering while I used the Gents facilities. He did that.
I am 79 years old and consider this man to be a truly perfect gentleman.
