Following a long day at work, I went to Safeway at Pembina and McGillivray to buy some groceries.
However, when I got to the check out and opened my wallet, I realized I had forgotten my debit card at home. As my brain started to cycle through my options, the gentleman who had been ahead of me in line offered to pay for my groceries.
He didn’t accept my protests and kindly placed $80 for my bill, then left with his bags. He asked only that I pay it forward with a random act of kindness of my own.
Thank you again to the gentleman for his kindness and generosity. It brought tears to my eyes.
