A wonderful person started a Facebook site called Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert, where people who have lost their dog can post information.

The volunteers on this site are incredible. They will cross-post lost dog information immediately with other dog sites and friends so that hundreds of people get your message. They give tips to owners to help find their dogs, provide pre-prepared lost-dog posters plus a checklist of what owners can do to help find their dog. They even organize active searches for dogs.

I have experienced the success of their efforts. These incredible volunteers go out rain and shine to help find a lost dog.
