Lots of help when little dog went missing

  • Print

WHY did the Chihuahua cross Portage Avenue?

I don’t know why Bronco, the four-pound Chihuahua I was pet sitting, crossed Portage Avenue. Only he could tell you.

Bronco got away from me when we were walking near Sargent Avenue and Victor Street one evening. He took off like a shot, heading south, and ended up lost in Wolseley. So many things could have happened, but this is a good news story.

Thank you so much to the young man on Victor who saw Bronco go by with his leash trailing and ran after him.

Thank you to the young boy on the skateboard on Victor who also followed Bronco into Wolseley.

Thank you to the man who tried to catch Bronco in Wolseley.

Thank you to the 311 operator who took my lost-dog report.

Thank you to the good folks at Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert.

Thank you to the man who called me after hearing a dog barking near the river.

Thank you to everyone for all the support, encouragement and reassurances Bronco would be found.

And thank you to the many people I met in-between.

A big, heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent out positive energy for Bronco over that 24-hour period. He’s one lucky little dude.
