I was travelling home from a medical appointment in downtown Winnipeg. It was one of our first very cold days last December.
Near Polo Park, two young men drove up beside me in a black Silverado truck and signalled to me I had a problem with my rear tire. I had to turn down St. James Street to pull into a parking lot to assess the damage and see if I could get someone to come and assist me.
Lo and behold, the two young men in the Silverado, who turned out to be brothers, followed me into the lot.
They then offered to change the flat tire for me.
On that horribly cold day, the two of them quickly changed my tire.
I asked them who taught them to be so considerate. They said it was their mom.
So, thank you to Troy and Stephen — and to their mom for raising two awesome young men.
