Money found safe and sound

  • Print

I HAD gone to Superstore to buy ice-cream bars to eat during the Hawks and Kings playoff game.

I also took out $100 cash from the bank machine. The next morning, I went flower shopping and realized I had no cash. I thought, "Didn’t I just take out $100?"

I went to the store and told them I believed I had left my cash at the store.

I said I knew it was my responsibility to take the money and told them exactly what I had bought. The lady said they would check their night-deposit safe.

Lo and behold, not only was the money turned in, but my bill was there, too.

I was simply thrilled. I asked the lady if the person who turned in the money had left their name, but she said, no, they hadn’t.

A huge thank you to the person who turned in my money, and thank you to the Superstore folks. You made my day.

I don’t know your names, but I will think of you when I pay it forward.
